I am an illustrator and graphic designer, currently based in Chicago, but originally from St. Louis, MO. I'm working towards a BFA in Illustration with a minor in Graphic Design at Columbia College Chicago. I enjoy creating things digitally, but use more hands-on art-making techniques as well, such as: ink-drawing, screen printing, linoleum-cut printing, wood-working, watercolor painting, and acrylic painting! Artist Statement

Because the Beautiful and Damned was set in the early 1920s during the Jazz age, and the main character often sits in the bathtub contemplating his life, I wanted to depict a colorful and quirky version of luxury using this imagery. I created this using Adobe Illustrator and Apple's Procreate, and wanted to incorporate the lettering into the image on the book cover. - Savanna Steffens
