Artist Statement

My poster for the Congaree National Park is a celebration of natural beauty left in the lowcountry of South Carolina. It is also a statement on the comfortable isolation of natural parks in America. Congaree National Park, named for the Congaree river that routinely floods, on which Native Americans once resided, is an old growth primeval forest. It is known to provide activities such as kayaking and birdwatching. It features a young blue catfish, cypress trees, and leaves from local oaks and pines. The poster was created with Photoshop CC 2017. ‰ÛÓ Allison Pardieck
