Vote the Environment

Each Creative Action Network poster is hand-printed and handled to make sure that only the highest quality is offered and sent out. The sturdy matte paper and premium inks create a vibrant, museum-quality image that looks great both framed and unframed. Posters are printed in Los Angeles, CA on Epson Enhanced Matte Paper heavyweight stock, with a wide color gamut and Epson UltraChrome HDR ink-jet technology. The framed poster arrives wrapped in a protective yet lightweight black frame and includes a shatter-resistant acrylite front protector that won't break during shipping. International orders may be subject to customs duties & taxes.

Proceeds Support:

Proceeds support Earthjustice, using the power of law to defend our right to a healthy environment. Vote the Environment is a collection of political protest posters. We face a great crisis: climate change, extinction, destruction of wild places--and we must all raise our voices: in our work, in our schools and, most importantly, at the ballot box. A 2014 election season collaboration with Patagonia and The Canary Project.

I'm a retired professor (College of Charleston, special education) and live in my hometown Raleigh NC with my husband and rescue hound. My passions include creating art and traveling. I'm a huge supporter of public education; teaching as a profession; disability rights; environmental protections; animal causes (rescue pets, wildlife, endangered species); and our public spaces. I'm on the Education Committee of the NC Museum of Art and have established a scholarship for special education teachers at my alma mater, Mars Hill University. My publications include Math Instruction for Students with Learning Problems (Routledge, 2017), which I illustrated as well.

Artist Statement

I've been working on studies of trees when I saw the "Vote the Environment" campaign. I wanted to give trees a voice and remind folks of their importance for life.
